ENGL 202 is the second course in Western Carolina University’s two-semester writing and rhetoric sequence. In this sophomore-level course students will advance their argumentative and research skills, but with a particular emphasis on writing within their own discipline. In addition to formal essays, students compose in a variety of genres and spaces, to include multimedia compositions. In addition to traditional modes of argument, students will also confront the rhetorical issues raised by emerging technologies.
