Student Generated Assignments

The following assignments, designed for use in first-year rhetoric/composition courses, were generated entirely by the graduate students enrolled in Western Carolina University’s Fall 2010 class “ENGL 514 – Fundamentals of Teaching Composition.”  The assignments are offered as a public resource, and are licensed under the same Attribution-NonCommercial-Share Alike Creative Commons license as this entire website (3 x 3 in Cullowhee).  We request that users of these assignments credit the student authors each and every time that they deploy these assignments, or assignments based on the ones offered here.  We also invite users to provide us with feedback on assignments (contact Nate at nathankreuter [at-sign] gmail [dot] com) .

These assignments were inspired by and generated in response to the readings undertaken in the Fall 2010 ENGL 514 course.  The assignments are posted with the permission of the student creators (hard copy Creative Commons agreements are on file with Nate Kreuter).  Files will remain on this site indefinitely, or until the original author requests the removal of an assignment.  An example of the release form signed by the graduate student authors of these assignments can be found HERE.
